I wasn’t going to blog today. I’m currently in a class, I still need to pack for a DNow this weekend (I’m leaving in an … and class ends in an hour… sooooo…) I’ve been editing gorgeous photos non stop, and survived the paper apocalypse in which I had five papers due in two days!
BUT, Valentine’s Day is my favorite.
So, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to spread a little love! Here are 5 ways to improve your Valentines day, whether you love it or hate it!
Buy yourself a bag of dove chocolates- Seriously though. Dove chocolates are some of my favorite sweet treats. Not only are they silky, smooth and CHOCOLATE, but their sweet little inspirational messages printed on the foil make me wanna change the world.
Make at least one homemade Valentine- Maybe it’s because I’m a girl, or maybe it’s because I just love to craft and create, but making Valentines makes ME feel like a million bucks. Not only that, but it’s a *cheap* and fun way to express yourself, and encourage someone.
Smile at everyone you walk past- I wonder how many of us would live happier lives if we just smiled at strangers. Often we look away, or look at our phones… anything to avoid eye contact. WHY? You may never see the person ever again, brighten their day, and release a few endorphins for yourself- SMILE.
Don’t dwell on what you don’t have- You might not like Valentine’s Day because you’re single. Don’t let that define your happiness. Celebrate yourself, celebrate your friends, celebrate LIFE! One reason I love Valentines Day so much is because it reminds me of what real love is! Fun fact- I’ve only ever had 2.5 Valentines, like, ever. (The .5 is a long story…. )
Wear red- Wearing red builds confidence. Didja know that? When a person wearing red enters a room, the people in the room automatically are drawn to them. Pretty cool huh? Try it. I wore red lipstick today, and I am LOVING it.
I was going to mention adding fresh flowers to your personal space…. but ya’ll would have seen that coming 😉
Great advice, Anna! Sorry we did not send you Dove chocolates! Love you so much!
