Surprises….

It started out as an idea, an idea that I knew was almost to close to a dream to even be called an idea.

But it was an idea nonetheless.

It came to me about a month and a half ago when I got an email from the University of Mobile inviting me and my family to a visit day on campus.

My thought process was as follows:

That’s cool.

A visit day with my family to my future school 14 hours away…..

They have such a pretty campus.

I miss my friends there SO MUCH!

I wish we could go so my family could see the campus.

Then they could meet my new friends!

Wouldn’t it be awesome to go and see ryan?

Man, I miss him.

What if i didn’t tell him I was coming?

Dude…. that would be the ULTIMATE SURPRISE.

Then I did an excited dance that looked like the running man mixed with the cupid shuffle.

It was epic.

I ran downstairs and calmly presented my idea to my parents something like this:

MOM! DAD! CAN WE GO TO MOBILE THE FIRST WEEKEND IN NOVEMBER SO YOU CAN SEE THE SCHOOL WHERE I WILL FURTHER MY EDUCATION?!

They said we’d talk about it later.

Later finally came and they agreed that mom & I would leave at 3 am the morning of November 1st and make the trip down to Mobile, Alabama.  It was officially a Mother Daughter road trip.

I immediately texted Ryan’s roommate and we started planning how we were gonna surprise him.

That was a little over a month ago and now, as I type this, mom and I have conquered the 14 hour drive*, I have killed my first deer* (using my mom’s car…), I have surprised my boyfriend therefore making him the happiest man in Mobile*, and am going to Steve Moakler LIVE in less than 3 hours*.  Needless to say, these last 24 hours have been CRAY. But amazingly cray nonetheless. 🙂

* Further explained blogging is needed in the near future to explain ALL that is astrisked 🙂
