I first met Samantha at a Wednesday night college gathering at a church in Mobile. I was completely new to Mobile, Alabama at the time and I knew no one except the girl I had gotten a ride from. Sam, knowing I was new, instantly introduced herself and started a conversation with me. Before long, both of us were laughing and sharing out hearts.
As I look back on that single moment, I can’t help but chuckle. The Lord used Samantha in so many ways in that single meeting! I had no idea that the church we met at would become my “home” church in Mobile. I also had no idea that Samantha’s friendship would be so valuable to me.
I just love her!
Samantha has a simple elegance about her, both in her appearance and in her personality. When I first met her, I literally thought she would make the perfect senator’s wife. She holds herself with such poise! The more I have gotten to know Samantha, the more I appreciate the woman that she is. Inside and out she is beautiful. Hidden behind her gorgeous, sparkling blue eyes is a contagious wanderlust and love for adventure.
Samantha LOVES to travel, but more than her love for travel, is her love for people. It is incredible to watch as Samantha uses her gifts and talents of communication, to draw people together. She does it in such a simple and beautiful way. It is one of my most favorite things about her. She focuses on the individual and loves wholeheartedly!
