Has it really been six years since I last blogged?
These last six years have been beautiful, hard and full. I think the stories they hold are too good not to share. I used to blog weekly and I thoroughly enjoyed the writing and connection that blogging offered. But then times changed, our family grew, and I didn’t have the capacity that I once had. My love of writing never changed and my desire to connect only deepened. God was telling a story that He knew I would write, but I think he wanted me to be present in the moment before I told his stories to the world.
So, here I am, all these years later, excited to invite you back into this space and meet you here.
2025 was a wild ride. From traveling to Africa, to Dave transitioning out of his job to homeschooling our oldest– we wrestled and worshiped all year long.
One of my favorite parts of 2025 was my job. It offered a creative outlet, flexibility and provision for our family. I say it as often as I can, but I truly am so grateful to do what I do. I get to step into stories and capture the beauty that I see— what a gift! As I wrap up 2025 (prepping taxes and filing galleries away), I wanted to share some of my favorite images from this past year. I photographed hundreds of people and captured over 300 sessions. From photographing babies that were less than 24 hours old, to school portraits (these won’t be featured today to protect those precious little faces!) to weddings and more….. What a joy it is to live life and capture the beauty that it holds.
Without further ado, enjoy some of my favorite moments captured as a portrait photographer in the gorgeous Roanoke Valley of Southwest Virginia.

Beautiful!!!!
