I don’t even know how to begin this post!
Let me first say that I have the most incredible friends IN. THE. WORLD.
Last night I was baking cookies for a family game night that we were going to attend later in the evening–completely oblivious to what the night held for me. My family & I packed into the car and made our way over to our friend’s house. We were greeted warmly with hugs and laughter as the night’s festivities began. Game night is a very fun and competitive thing among our households, so it was obvious that I was focus on winning…. while unbeknownst to me, everyone else in the room was focused on executing the ultimate surprise party.
Time passed and I was kickin’ game night booty. Then, the door bell rang. Susan (you may remember her from here!) answered the door. Suddenly a large mass of people filled the room and screamed “Surprise!” I stood from my seat, hands over my mouth in surprise. Each person held a pink rose in their hand and gave it to me as they hugged me hello. After I had greeted everyone, cried, and jumped up & down, my mom came to my side. “Susan & Pat did all of this, they love you so much, Anna.” They threw me the ultimate farewell surprise party.
Both of these women mean more to me than they themselves will ever know. They have supported me, believed in me, and encouraged me no matter what life has held. I am so overwhelmed with joy and love…. Last night was just what I needed before I set off on my new adventure ( TOMORROW!!). Being surrounded by friends and family and enjoying endless hours of laughter, support & conversation was the cherry on top of this incredible ice cream sundae I like to call, life.
