This last week was SUCH a Jesus kiss. For those of you who don’t know, my family and I ventured away for a week long vacation to the beach. Now that I don’t live at home anymore, time away with them is so much more precious. I often forget how much FUN my family is! Isn’t that crazy? One thing about my family is that we are very driven people. In everything we do we give our all (I blame dad for that). We also work together and do ministry together. During our week away it was SUCH a gift to simply BE. We shared dreams, goals, laughs, and simply relaxed in each other’s pressence. It was perfect. To make the week even BETTER, dad had a few tricks up his sleeve. One of them being an adventure to an airfield which resulted in me FLYING the plane! The pilot literally looked at me-straight faced and serious- and told me to take the controls. Not knowing if something was wrong or not I frantically grabbed them and started steering.
Then he started LAUGHING at me.
“You’re a natural!” He said in-between chuckles.
Yep, he totally tricked me! Once his laughter finally fizzled out he taught me how to steer the plane with the pedals (they control the rudders) and the hand controls (steering wheel? haha it controls going up and down). It was a BLAST! Now I can check “flying a plane” off my bucket list! But,I’ll have to add it to the list first… haha
Needless to say, my heart is refreshed and invigorated. Between eating good seafood, reading exceptional books, and starting mornings with the sun I feel like the most blessed girl on the planet for the time I shared with my three most favorite people.
My heart is so full!
