This last week has been a whirlwhind of adventure!
Saturday, my family and I packed our vehicle and made a 4 hour trip to Nags Head, NC. This was going to be our first family vacation (together) in years! We’re talking… since I was in high school.
We came to the condo we were renting for the week, shook hands with the man who owned it and were given the keys. We settled into our rooms, unpacked a bit and then I opened my laptop to check my email.
And that’s when it happened.
I quickly discovered that we had no wifi. Dad called the owner just to make sure. It seemed my whole family had expected to get a lot of work done while on vacation. I feel like there is a joke in there somewhere.
Well, it’s day five into our vacation and we have survived. I never thought I’d say this but having no wifi has been a blessing!
I secretly have ventured to the local Dunkin Donuts to blog (didja check out Denver’s post?:), snapchat (I’m so addicted) & send emails to my clients (SO many incredible things are coming!)
In between all of that, my family and I have had a blast. We’ve gone deep sea fishing, been entertained by dolphins (!), spent time on the beach, gone crabbing, picnicked, celebrated my birthday, had family game nights, feasted on homemade seafood and so much more !
Myra even let me sneak her away for a quick photo shoot!
And yes… haha I am twenty two now….
How crazy is that? I feel SO OLD!
It has been so nice to getaway and have quality family time. I hope that wherever you are, you’re enjoying the gift of family !
